Outreach & Education

At RREAL, we believe educating and training youth and the general public is an absolutely crucial aspect of promoting our mission. Our outreach and education program offers service learning, community service, presentations, and classroom education opportunities. Although we strive to inform and promote solar energy to as many people as we can, at-risk youth are the major focus of our outreach and education program. As projects and funding allow, we provide hands-on training, and volunteer and employment opportunities to at-risk youth. We have worked with the Pine River Backus Alternative Learning Center, Harbor Cities School, Youth as Resources, the Minnesota Workforce Rehabilitation Center, Rural MN CEP, and Cass County Juvenile Corrections and Sentence to Serve as part of our commitment to local youth. We also have provided internship opportunities for students from the University of Minnesota, Uof M Duluth, St. Benedict’s college, and the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, and collaborate with The Happy Dancing Turtle on many community Education projects.

If you work with youth and would like to give them an opportunity to learn about solar technologies, solar air heat, fuel poverty or all of the above, you’ve come to the right place!

Our RREAL employees regularly deliver speaking presentations at conferences and other events on a for hire basis or pro bono basis when possible. Please contact us if you are looking for a speaker for your event and would like more information.
