Solar Heat for Low-Income Households

Our primary program, RREAL installs grid-independent solar heating systems onto the households of low-income families who qualify for Energy Assistance. Virtually every family that is able assists in the installations in some way.

The State of Minnesota spends millions of dollars annually on Energy Assistance, a program which assists families who cannot pay their winter heating bills. The State of MN helped 110,000 households in 2005. While Energy Assistance is a critical program, it doesn‚t provide a long-term solution to the persistent reality of cold Minnesota winters.

At RREAL, we believe in helping people help themselves to a simple technology, accessible worldwide: Solar Energy!!!

Families that are eligible for Fuel Assistance can also qualify for RREAL's Solar Assistance Program. This program provides families with a Solar Heating System for their home, thereby drastically reducing, if not eliminating entirely, the need for Fuel Assistance. For Decades. And, at a fraction of the environmental cost!
